JBL JRX 112M
12" 2-way Stage Monitor FOH Speaker
Full 5yr Warranty
This is a brand new JBL JRX 112M stage monitor/front of house loudspeaker. The JRX series is JBL's new value line of Pro loudspeakers for performance / DJ and installation. The JRX 112M is built using a high-power 250W RMS / 500W Program / 1000W peak 12" low frequency driver and a 1 3/4" diaphragm / 1" exit high frequency compression driver - NOT the cheesy piezo drivers found in many competing products. All this performance is backed up by JBL's legendary reputation and a rock solid 5yr warranty. We are authorized JBL dealers (we're Big Time Audio), so your warranty will begin on your day of purchase.

The JRX100 series offers a complete line of quality live sound reinforcement speakers at an affordable price.
A new feature of the JRX100 line is the dual-angle pole socket. This feature allows the speaker to be mounted in either a conventional, vertical position, or with a 10 degree down angle. By aiming the speaker down, it is possible to achieve more even audience coverage and reduce the destructive acoustic reflections from walls.
"The advantages of raising the speaker and aiming it down at the audience are well known to tour and install sound professionals," said Gerry Tschetter, Director of Portable PA Marketing. "But the speakers available to portable PA users allow only a vertical orientation. With the dual-angle pole socket, this capability is no longer limited to flown systems."
Elevating your speakers on a tripod stand or pole is a great idea. But, if you raise the speaker too high, half the output hits the back wall causing unwanted acoustic effects. Leave the speaker too low, and the crowd down front gets blasted while those in the rear can't hear. The solution - a pole-mount with two sockets so you have the option of mounting your JRX115 with a 10º down angle. The result - more uniform coverage of your audience and less energy wasted hitting the walls. Of course you can still use the other socket to position your speakers with no down angle.
A sophisticated, advanced network topology design is utilized in JRX100 models to ensure quality performance. To minimize distortion due to coil saturation, heavy gauge wire is used for inductors and SonicGuardâ„¢ high-frequency driver protection guards against damage caused by inadvertent overpowering of the system. All full-range models
feature Neutrik® Speakon® and ¼" input connectors.
All JRX100 series models are constructed of carpet-covered, ¾" MDF - a material that is structurally and acoustically superior to the particleboard that is used by many competitive products. To ensure durability, JBL constructs these enclosures with advanced adhesives and closely mechanically spaced fasteners, while competitive systems typically rely on glue. Non-resonant, all metal handles are used and an 18 gauge, full metal grille protects the drivers. All JRX100 models have passed the same 100-hour, full rated-power torture test that JBL high-end touring systems must survive.
Progressive Transition™ Waveguide
Just one example of JBL's innovation is the PT™ Waveguide design. For decades, horn designers were faced with trade-offs between well controlled coverage, low distortion, and good frequency response. JBL developed proprietary algorithms which give our PT Waveguides the best performance in all three areas.
JRX100 doesn't scrimp on the hardware either. All the JRX models use tough, non-resonant all-steel handles with big, beefy bars. And the entire baffle (not just the woofer) is protected by an 18 gauge steel grille.
All woofers and compression drivers used in JRX100 are manufactured in Northridge, California by JBL Professional.
Competitive systems typically use particle board construction and rely entirely on glue to hold it together. For JRX100, we selected a more rugged and acoustically superior 3/4" MDF material for the enclosures. And to make sure they stay together, we constructed them with advanced adhesives and closely spaced mechanical fasteners. Not only are the cabinets rugged, but the denser enclosure walls are more riged, delivering better low end as a result
Feedback, dropped microphones, pushing the amps into clipping - all these things can quickly destroy even the best high-frequency drivers. That's why JBL JRX100 speakers include SonicGuard™ protection. SonicGuard circuitry absorbs excess energy without interrupting the performance. No circuit breakers to reset, no fuses to replace and no "poly-switches" to degrade sound quality.
